Founded in 2019, Powell Architects was born from the belief that design should serve people, not limit them. We believe our business is built for a larger purpose, and that perspective shapes the way we design, collaborate, and serve.
 
With master’s degrees in architecture and business from Texas Tech and more than 15 years in the industry, Alan Powell saw an opportunity to give families and builders the custom attention they deserve. Alongside his wife Kristin, Powell Architects now serves clients across Texas and New Mexico while staying deeply connected to West Texas. By employing and mentoring Texas Tech students, we’re proud to invest in both our community and the future of architecture.

We guide you from concept to completion, starting with understanding your goals, developing a clear design, coordinating permitting, and working closely with your builder to bring the vision to life.

What services do you offer?

We provide full architectural design services, including feasibility studies, schematic design,
construction documents, and project coordination. We also offer planning, interiors, and visualization support.

About how long will it take to design my project?

 Whether commercial or residential, every project is unique. The design timeline is driven by scope, complexity, regulatory review, and client decision pace. At the start of the project, we outline a detailed schedule so you always know what to expect. 

Do you partner with local builders?

Yes. We regularly collaborate with trusted local builders and can recommend teams that fit your project’s scale, style, and budget.
